End of Year Writing Meme

Pinched this from [livejournal.com profile] impishtubist and thought it might be fun to do.

Your main fandom of the year? Split between Sherlock (both BBC and ACD) and Lewis
Writing Summary:
Number of Words posted: 70,053
Number of Stories posted: 58
Number of Plot Bunnies contemplated: No idea, considering I've been writing 60 words for an ACD story every week, too many to count
Favorite:
Most underappreciated by the universe: Since I'm off the radar of most of the universe I'm not that bothered.
Most fun to write: The Case of the Beloved Inspector or anything else involving Mouselet
Most intense fic: I don't tend to write intense fics, but possibly a couple of ficlets involving Lestrade: Blindness and Sunrise
Saddest fic: Again I prefer to avoid sadness, but It Can't Always Rain because of the subject matter
Funniest fic: The Giant Rat of Sumatra a collaboration between myself and [livejournal.com profile] debriswoman
Fic that shifted my own perception of the characters: That would have to be The Unexpected Family series in which Sherlock and Greg adopt two children, Lucy and William.  The series spans a complete generation from when William joins the family.  The chance to build my own world is very interesting.
Hardest to do: Grandfather's Village which required a cast of many, all with French Basque names, and a location I wasn't familiar with.
Biggest personal disappointment in regards to writing: If I put more effort in I could be better.  But once something is written, I'm not interested in spending hours editing it - although since most of my writing is short that's probably not terrifically relevant.
Beyond writing...
Your favorite film you watched this year? Not a great film goer, much prefer the theatre.  And there were a number of plays I really enjoyed for different reasons, so I can't choose one.
Your favorite tv show of the year? Person of Interest
Your best new fandom discovery of the year? Laurence Fox is a good stage actor; Richard Armitage makes an excellent Stanley Hopkins
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? too much Sherlock promotion before the start of the new series
Your biggest squee moment of the year? Non-specific, but travelling around the country to see my favourite actors on the stage
What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before? Took part in a murder mystery as a suspect; and got an IOSH qualification
Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? No and no
What would you like to accomplish in 2014? I have no idea, I tend to pick up things as the year rolls along.  Would like to get to Florence this year
What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Don't remember the date, but it was my daughter's graduation
What was your biggest achievement of the year? Nothing outstanding, but a number of small personal things.
What was your biggest failure? Nothing that leaps out at me
How will you be spending New Year's? At home.
