Writing Meme - Something New
Looking through my recent posts to AO3, there are two ficlets written for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
fan_flashworks, two fics written for the Viclock exchange on Tumblr, one extremely cracky ficlet written for ushobwri because I was determined to prove that I could include all six prompts in one ficlet and my contribution to lewis_challenge summer fest.
And there is also Mary's Little Secret. Just a ficlet, it's set some time about a year or so after the end of S3 of Sherlock. The summary I posted said "John Watson thought they had agreed to no more secrets, but it seemed he was wrong."
It began when I saw a post on Tumblr in which it was suggested that the coat Mary was wearing was proof that she'd been pregnant before. I never had a maternity coat - just some elastic bands keeping the two sides together when I was heavily pregnant in the middle of winter (about when Mary herself was pregnant). But it got me thinking, what if Mary had had a previous child? And then there was the possibility of updating the ACD story of The Yellow Face. So, I put the two together, added a slight twist and, as in the original story, Sherlock Holmes is rather surprised by the outcome.
