Artistic Attempts

One of my goals for this year was to work on my artwork, and to submit something to fan_flashworks  Amnesty challenge, which runs every two months.  I attempted to make a drawing from one of the pictures I'd taken of the roses, but it really didn't work too well.  However, I decided I'd submit it anyway, but include it in a mixed media post with some other rose photos which I hadn't posted, and a drabble about Dr Watson's own roses: Rose Garden

However, my cross-stitch is making good progress and it's now possible to see part of the picture - I didn't realise that until I looked at the latest photo, clearly a case of not seeing the picture for the stitches.

The cross-stitch is coming on beautifully! And it's such lovely colours as well.

Thank you :) I've been interested in the grading of shades in the threads, some of them are very subtle.

I think the rose sketch is pretty, and you are making good progress on the cross-stitch too.

I'm enjoying the cross-stitch, and am almost a third of the way through.
