A Meme
Back in January
howsmyenglish posted a meme, which I bookmarked for when I was looking for something to blog about. And here it is:
Are you more happy or sad?
Happy - I'm a glass half full sort of person.
Favourite comfort reading?
Any classic style mystery novel - if you glance through my book reviews you'll quickly see the sort of thing I read.
Favourite comfort watching?
Re-runs of Midsomer Murders, Poirot, Miss Marple ... You may be sensing a theme.
What do you like about rain?
I sleep better on the nights when it's raining. And it makes the countryside green.
What's the best thing that happened to you this week?
I probably ought to say I was told that at work they really really appreciate all the hard work I've put into the finances. Although I've got pleasure from cross-stitching the first sunflower on the Klimt (picture later this month) and I bought some very cute t-shirts for my granddaughter for Easter.
Imagine you're on a very long train journey (days and days) - what would be your favourite pastime during this journey?
Apart from looking at the scenery, I'd read - maybe even reduce my To Be Read pile!
Name two of your dreams: one you really hope/plan will come true one day, and one that you're sure won't come true but wouldn't it be great though!
My impossible dream would be to visit all the wonderful places in Europe and be able to spend enough time to see all the sights etc, without being museumed out. My possible dream is to continue visiting some of the cultural capitals of Europe and go to concerts/exhibitions in them. Budapest next stop!

Hurrah for common interests.
I was thinking (for 100 fandoms) that it wouldn't be a hardship to re-watch some Tom & Ben Midsomer episodes and do a bit with them.
Good. I am glad you're getting proper praise at work.
Sounds good! Yes, after a while in Italy I said 'no more Madonnas and child.'

Yes, you should rewatch some of Tom and Ben - I think it should prove essential.
Definitely. And even when you're enjoying something there comes a point where you can't take anything more in.

Glad you got that praise from work!
I prefer to focus on one small part of museums and art galleries at a time and am easily overwhelmed if anyone tries to get me through entire exhibitions in one go!! As a result, I tend to prefer local things that I can revisit, and preferably either free or inexpensive for the same reason! Having said that, there are some things in 'foreign parts' I wouldn't have missed for the world!
