A Brief Hobbit Update

I'm now working fewer hours each week on my job, which is good.  The charity I work for agreed to keep me on until the end of March, so although I'm still counting the weeks, the number of hours is less which is great!

Inevitably, Bundles is taking more of my time - keeping the finances up to date, applying for a few grants, and also replying to a couple of requests for further details.  And on Monday - 'our referrals need updating post completion...'  By the end of last week they'd received 372 referrals since the beginning of April, which is the same number as for the whole of 2018/19. 

Also, our flowers have decided that it's November, and therefore time to bloom:

The weather has been so strange, with alternating mild and cold and lots of rain. I don't suppose your flowers know where they are!! I'm glad to hear about your work situation easing.

Our flowers have minds of their own anyway, but this year they seem more independent than usual!

Thank you - there are still a number of the old annoyances, but now I just do what I can, and if I haven't got time, it's just too bad, they shouldn't have left things to the last minute!

Lovely pink flowers! Nothing is going to schedule this year so I don't know why plants should be any different!

Our roses are still going. I've stopped dead-heading them in an attempt to convey to them to STOP BLOOMING NOW, but they haven't yet gotten the message.

Crazy isn't it? A couple of weeks ago everything looked dead out there, but now it's in flower again. Yesterday we walked past a cherry tree which is currently blossoming.

I'm taking on things they would have done, but with the number of referrals going up that's where their priority has to be.

I'm pleased to be cutting down hours for my job so I can use them for a charity which is really important at the moment.

I'm glad that everything seems to have worked out work-wise. It's great that you're working fewer hours and can stay on until the end of March (even if you are counting the weeks).

It sounds like Bundles is keeping you busy! It's good that you're able to help out so much. I'm sure everyone appreciates it.
