Local Events - Part 2

This month's local event truly is an event.  It's the Tall Ships Festival at Gloucester Docks.  I've already written a little about the docks here, in which I mentioned the tall ships, so it was a nice surprise when The Daughter suggested coming down so we could go.  She also bought tickets which allowed us to go on board and wander round on the decks.  In total there were 7 tall ships, and we visited 5 of them.  There were also a number of stalls around which we browsed, although bought very little.

I had to go look up which vessels were there and there's one that's still working cargo between France, Portugal, and the UK -- very cool!

Great photos! It's so cool that you were able to go on board and walk around the decks. It looks like you had a wonderful day. :-)

Aehm... I'm afraid this is going to sound incredibly amateurish, but I have to ask. You wrote at some point about some historic ship... I think you said people could rent rooms in it or something... and your daughter did? Only I have this friend, who is so very much interested in ships and I mentioned this to him and he was so thrilled and wanted to know more... I remember I asked you for details when you wrote about it... or.. there might have been a link to a website? I know I went and looked at it. But it's just erased from my memory. Do you by any chance know what I'm talking about?
