Writing - July 2023

This was my best month wordwise this year - 15,950 bringing my total for the year to 83,625 and keeping me on track for 135K for the whole year.  However, I won't count my words until they are written!

By far the major reason, over half the total, was the final July Writing Prompts over at [community profile] watsons_woes  As I have for the last few years, I chose a theme for the month which this year led to A Production Diary which sees the Ferret & Co preparing for their Hallowe'en performance of Macbeth.  Needless to say, the plot does veer slightly from the one Shakespeare originally wrote.

My words were also boosted by a friend hosting Comment Fic over on LiveJournal, with a number of prompts specifically designed for me, so thank you [personal profile] nagi_schwarz and [personal profile] brumeier

I also completed Death at the Chelsea Flower Show for [community profile] whatif_au Radio AU.  This is an Inspector Durin Mystery in the fashion of the old style radio mystery drama serials which I enjoy listening to.

[community profile] allbingo had my favourite Bingo card: Winterfest in July, so I wrote some very indulgent fluff for Lucas and Adam (a Spooks AU) based on a bingo card for decorations: Looking Ahead

And lastly, I have created the August bingo fest for [community profile] allbingo based on Sir Matthew Bourne's New Adventures productions.  Details here

Good work! That Production Diary in particular sounds promising! I've bookmarked it for later reading. :)
