Fandom 50 (41): Miss Marple - The Lady Herself
Another favourite of mine is Miss Jane Marple, Agatha Christie's elderly spinster, frequently overlooked and yet very insightful. This month I've decided to look at a few aspects of Miss Marple, and will be sharing the drabbles I've written as part of this month's
small_fandoms Evening Sunset challenge. Here she is out in her garden.

It had been a hot day and Miss Marple had waited until the evening had cooled before taking a stroll around her garden. A rustling in the bushes had her scurrying back for her torch; she doubted it was anything sinister, but it was as well to be sure. Clutching her torch in one hand she returned and listened carefully. There was more rustling, but a little further along the garden. Cautiously she shone her torch along the bushes and smiled as she spotted an adult hedgehog, followed by three small babies. Here were intruders she was happy to encourage.
