Ah, how lovely! Are you in the UK? It would be reassuring to know that somewhere in the country got a lot of rain. We've hardly had any for about the third year running.

Yes, I'm in Gloucester - that's the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal. We had three weeks when it rained every day, and then that particular day it threw it down, which meant it came through the church hall roof at such a rate the bucket was half full by the end of the afternoon.

I guess you can have too much of a good thing :) Do you live by the canal or do you have to walk down there when you want to visit it?

We live about 5 minutes walk from the canal, so I'm there quite often.

I have to say, I'm sorry about the water in the church, but the little kid fences are so cute.

The toddler barriers were originally bought when we wanted to block off a safe area on the grass for them, but now have a wide variety uses.

Thank you. Yes, the roof needs replacing, I finished an updated draft for our fundraising leaflet yesterday.
