Local walks (Part 4)

Pictures from the last ten days:

Lots of flowers and bushes in bloom:

   

   

There are lots of butterflies around.  The peacocks were surprisingly easy to photograph, the speckled woods less so, and the others wouldn't sit still at all!

 

 

On the canal there is a mother duck with 15 ducklings.  They aren't all in every photo - it's very hard to keep them all in one shot!

I love your photos, especially the ones of the butterflies! The flowers are also beautiful, and it's great to see a mother duck on the canal with her ducklings. Fifteen ducklings are a lot of babies to keep track of!

Ducklings! And so many of them:) Mother duck must be very busy keeping up with them:)

Lovely photos, the butterflies are gorgeous. So nice to see everything in bloom too, we are down to autumn leaves here.

I know. We've seen her three times now and been impressed she's kept them all.

I like both spring and autumn; both have their charms, but spring has more promise.

Lovely pics! I've seen a lot of butterflies - earlier than usual, I think. The hoverflies are out in force, too! I miss being able to get to any bodies of water that might house ducks.

There are a lot of butterflies around, but very few stay still enough to photo, so I have a collection of photos of 'where the butterfly was'. I've seen plenty of hoverfies too.
