Craft - Month 8

I've definitely done less knitting this month, which may reflect watching less television, since I often knit when watching.  However, I did make two owls, partly due to not realising I had used to different thickness of wool when making the base sections.  The first, smaller, version went to my granddaughter and I kept the second, correct sized version.

 

My granddaughter's jumper is finished, but the ends need neatening:



And my William Morris cross stitch is looking good:



No idea what next month will bring, but I can't see myself not doing crafts of some form.

What colour is the background to your cross stitch? It looks quite dark. Great progress on it!

The background is dark blue, which I found quite hard to work on at first, but I'm getting used to it. I think it will look quite effective when it's finished.

Dark colours can be quite tricky for stitching on, but the effect is striking. It's going to look wonderful!

Thank you very much. The William Morris will slow down as I come to the centre of the piece as the sewing will be more intensive - I've been surprised at how quickly the picture is becoming visible, a distinct change from the Klimt.

I love your owls and I think your William Morris cross stitch is coming along very nicely. Your granddaughter's jumper looks fantastic! I showed it to my mom and she was duly impressed. :-)

The jumper is lovely!
I used to knit many years ago and recently felt that I'd like to start again. Let's see... my daughter is probably going to give me some wool and knitting needles for Christmas... I'm excited to find out whether I remember how it's done))
