As shown in my Christmas post, I continued with cross stitch cards - this is the last one:

Tackle stitching projects

I made a big attempt at tackling all the stitching/cross stitch kits, of various descriptions which I have, and am pleased with my progress.  Not everything is done, but I didn't expect that, and I've now started Christmas projects.

Some of these photos have been posted before, but for completeness I'm putting them altogether.

This is a split post, as, although I've been doing a fair amount of cross stitch, there are a couple of projects which are close to being finished, so I'd rather wait until they're completed before posting them.  And in addition, two were for cards for friends who won't have received them yet.  I plan on posting a further craft post midway through next month as part of my 25 things for 2025, and there's no point in duplicating photos.

I've mostly been cross stitching, but I did finish knitting my scarf:

Today's challenge is to set some goals.  I'm still setting my goals in April, since I find it a more realistic time to do so, and therefore I'm using this post to review my current goals at their eight month point:

Goal 1: To do something new each month
September was a busy month generally, so the best I can offer is visiting the church's antiquated boilers, which was an experience.  October we went on holiday and visited Chester and Llandudno, both new places.  November I tried a new online book club.  And December was ridiculously busy, so there wasn't much time to include new things.  I had been going to go to a decoupage class at our local library, but due to problems on the roads the tutor didn't make it.

Goal 2: To do a monthly review
This is going very well and may well influence what I choose for next year's goals.

Goal 3: To complete a bigger knitting project
As previously mentioned, the really impressive projects cost more than I can justify.  I finished my sleeveless top ready for next summer and I've just started a jumper, although that may not be completed by the end of April.

I am also planning on having some more minor goals, and am therefore doing 25 things in 2025.  My first six 'things' are listed here

Along with the Christmas cards I stitched (see yesterday's post) I also stitched a band for our Christmas cake:

Over the period of four months I stitched Christmas cards, and here they are:

Although most of my cross stitch has been of Christmas cards - I'll do a separate post for them next month - I have been continuing with the monthly StitchALong

I finished knitting the sleeveless cotton top in hydrangea coloured stripes.  I'm very pleased with the result.
