Sketching

This month's Dare to Dabble session was a simple sketching one in the gardens of the museum.  There was the opportunity to try out various drawing media, including charcoal and different graphite pencils, as well as paints.

I decided to concentrate on the plants within one small area, since there were a wide variety of flowers and plants to experiment with the various media:

Wow, you did really well!

Stick figures are my limit and I don't think stick figure flowers will ever catch on ;)

Up until a few years ago I'd have said I couldn't draw, but with practice it's improving. A lot of it is learning to draw what I actually see, not what I think I see. I stick to plants though.

Good for you! I think I'll stick with the hobbies I already have though.
