Writing - August 2022

This month's writing figures have slipped back again - currently I've written 6.2K for the month.  There are a few more days, but I doubt I shall add that much.

I've signed up for no_true_pair and have begun writing the drabbles/ficlets to give myself a head start - posting is during September.

whatif_au currently has a treasure hunters challenge, so I wrote a teenage modern AU for Hamlet: Yorick's Map

ficlet_zone only produced a double drabble, although as it's part of my Sherlock AU 'Shopping with Jim' I amused myself writing Map Reading by Seb

Realistically I'm looking at 100-110K for the year, which is a definite drop from last year.  In some ways this is disappointing, as I'd like to be writing more, but on the other hand, there isn't much I particularly want to write, and there's definitely no need to produce words just for the sake of it.

Yes, definitely no need to produce words for the sake of it, and the Bible says everything has a season, so maybe this is a low word count season. You're being plenty crafty!

That is very true. With changing priorities come changing word counts!

See how you go, you may find yourself writing extra anyway :) But not having the pressure can be good.

Yes, something might totally inspire me, but as it is I have plenty to entertain me!
