Crafts - August 2022

This has been the month for small cross stitch projects.

Two little kits:

I also finished the next square for my throw (number 25) and the last of the building ones: Berlin



As well as the left from of Mini Hobbit's cardigan

Oh so many gorgeous little cross stitches! I think the rainbow unicorn is my favourite, but they're all super!

Is it just the sleeves and bands left for the cardigan now?

I'm partway up the right front, and then it's sleeves and bands, so well on track.

I love poppies. The sloth is too precious! You have been busy! Jumper looks very sweet.

Thank you - I liked the way the book showed to shade the poppies. The sloth was great fun. I've enjoyed working through my alphabet magazine, choosing patterns to match the recipients.

Love the fact you can even do bookmarks with this! Love the unicorn! The sloth (raccoon?) is cute too!

Yes, there are some patterns which are great for bookmarks. The unicorn is for Mini Hobbit (which I don't suppose is a surprise!). I'm very pleased with the sloth :)

That mermaid cardigan is so spectacular, I love it. And all the mini stitching projects are great, too. I must confess to a weakness for the festive sloth.

Wow! You've really been busy with the cross stitching! All of your projects turned out beautifully. I especially like the bird cards and bookmarks.

Your knitting projects are also looking great. I really like the way your drawing of the poppies turned out. The shading and use of colours are really effective.

Thank you very much - I liked the way the bird cards looked. The bookmarks were done quickly, but looked effective. The book I took the poppies from gave details of how to do the shading, and although I was using pastel chalks/crayons rather than paints they came out well.

You are so industrious! The birds are very pretty, but I love the unicorn most. Well, and the mermaid. And the poppies, which look wonderfully alive.
