Three Questions: April 11 to 20

11 APR: Pet Day: What’s the most unusual thing your pet or a pet you know has ever done?
We had two cats, brothers, who shared a brain between them. One day there was a grass snake in our back garden and one of the two (clearly it wasn't his day to have the brain), patted the snake on the head with his paw. The snake, quite understandably, didn't care for this and lunged at the cat, who left the ground, all four paws at once, in cartoon fashion. The snake then departed in one direction and the cat in another.

17 APR: International Haiku Poetry Day: What words best describe ‘spring’ in your mind?
The green leaves unfurl
Flowers start to bloom once more
The colour returns

18 APR: International Day for Monuments and Sites: Is there a historical site or monument you pass on a regular basis?
Whenever we go into Gloucester we can see the Cathedral.

Oh gosh, I'm glad the cat was okay!
Nice haiku :)
Oh, I'd love to see Gloucester cathedral again. I posted some photos from a visit last year, first time I'd ever been to Gloucester and loved it, the docks, the cathedral, the atmosphere.

curled up on top of a baby grass snake, keeping it warm That is adorable and like something from a fairytale!

Gloucester is just do-able as a day trip so I do hope to visit again in the future!

That's a hilarious story about the snake.

Ooo! Nice haiku. My library used to have 'poem in a pocket' display for poetry month, but this year they have a 'write a haiku' station.

If I make it across the pond, I want to see the Cathedral. Do you also have a Groaning Spinney?

I've always loved seeing the cathedral against the skyline.

Edward Elgar's old address is round the corner from me and there's a plaque in town commemorating Owen Tudor's death site.
