Writing - July 2024
Jul. 30th, 2024 01:50 pmThis has been a good month as I've managed about 14K words bringing my year to date to 83K. I've taken part in a number of challenges which is reflected in the figures.

whatif_au bingo card with Mycroft Holmes' Summer Wonderland (the next part of Mycroft's Wonderland for Every Season) and The Gnomes of Dunsinane a modern AU of Macbeth.
allbingo had two challenges this month and for once I decided to do both. Firstly for Winterfest in July I wrote Christmas Thoughts In July which is pure fluff for Lucas and Adam from Spooks (MI5). Also there was a new card for Games and Entertainment so I wrote Playing Games as a Miss Marple story.
small_fandoms is having a month of prompts next month and I've started writing for that.
Lastly I've been working on four challenges forlands_of_magic two of which I completed. The first, a character study, I based on Lucas North from Spooks: Introducing Lucas North Plus three 300 word ficlets for the royalty challenge: Tigger Holmes and the Ransom Note , Princess Aurora and the Prince (Sleeping Beauty/Swan Lake - Bourne) and Prince Hamlet and Lady Juliet (Hamlet/Romeo & Juliet)
