Cambridge - Part Two
May. 31st, 2018 12:01 pmOn our second day in Cambridge we spent the morning in the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, including an excellent lunch in their café. In the afternoon we visited the Fitzwilliam Museum (art and antiquities) which had some interesting special exhibitions, and wandered round until in SM's words, our feet fell off, when we went to their café for a cream tea. After which we returned to sit by the side of the River Cam and watch people punting.

Date: 2018-05-31 05:56 pm (UTC)What’s surprising me is that we have a lot of the similar plant and animal species. Like, they really look similar. I didn’t know you had daisys. If that is native wildflowers display, it’s likely Bellis perennis (Common Daisy). Our daisy, that is everywhere, is Leucanthemum vulgare or ox-eye daisy. This throws back to another conversation, but your common frog looks like our wood frog. So, seeing pics like these throws me for a loop because I have to remind myself that it is not the specie I think it is. Anywho, done over thinking for the day. :)
