Feb. 10th, 2022 03:34 pmTewkesbury is a medieval market town in the north of Gloucestershire. The town still has a number of medieval and Tudor buildings.

It is situated at the point where the River Avon meets the River Severn and the back of Avon runs along on the edge of the town.

The most famous landmark in the Abbey, which is 900 years old and was consecrated in 1121.

Plus some modern stained glass. Created by Tom Denny these were installed in 2002 to commemorate the arrival of the first monks at the abbey, 900 years before.
