Wreath making

I last did Christmas wreath making at Dare to Dabble four years ago.  It was my first Dare to Dabble session, which I thoroughly enjoyed (report here) and it led on to me not just going to a few sessions, but attending every month.  I was keen to have another go, and this time's wreath is much less traditional, because, as Catherine, who leads the sessions, and I agreed, I don't do conventional.

We began, as before with a floor full of greenery to choose from.  It's all taken from the plants which grow at Nature in Art, so entirely natural and very fresh.



We selected the greenery we wanted and either wired it around the hoops (which is what I did on the previous occasion) or made bunches and attached them to the hoops.  The phone on my camera didn't work properly, so I have less photos than usual, and a couple are dodgy, but may give you some idea.

   

There were various items which could be attached to the wreaths, like dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, as well as baubles etc.



I settled for winding ribbons round parts of my wreath



And here is my wreath hung up in our living room.

Thank you very much - that was the idea, I wanted to have more than just green which is why I chose those particular ribbons.

A fun activity. Wonderful colours :) :) I plan on trying to make one out of pinecones later today.

I think it's great that you chose to make your wreath the way you wanted it. The combination of the ribbons and greenery is really nice. I like all the berries as well.
