Goal Update
Aug. 5th, 2023 02:08 pmThree months in I decided to reflect on this year's goals:
Goal No 1 - To complete all FutureLearn courses on my Watch List
That is coming along well. When I began there were 18 on my list, two I decided I really wasn't interested in after all, and one had been accidentally left on when I'd already done it, so that quickly reduced the number to 15! I've now taken seven of those courses, and I'm working on another, so it looks promising.
Goal No 2 - To reduce the number of Leger Tours on my wish list by this time next year, either by having been on then or by having booked them.
I have two tours booked - although one wasn't on my original list. It also seems like two of those we were interested in are no longer being run, but no doubt The Daughter will find a suitable alternative!
Goal No 3 - To do something slightly different each month
Last month we went to near Ludlow, and it was a sudden decision to go - we decided on the Sunday and went away for Wednesday night, rather than planning in advance. I also unexpectedly saw a friend for lunch the day before we were away, who I hadn't seen for a few years.
In addition I've booked a couple of faith based courses which are being run on zoom, rather than simply thinking they look interesting.
I've continued my walk on days when otherwise I would have no reason for leaving the house, generally going in the morning and trying to make that a routine. There was only one day I didn't get out until the afternoon, but I was waiting in for a delivery. There's only one photo of the swans - I don't always walk by the canal, sometimes I walk to the library instead. Also, two days it's been raining heavily and they stay in shelter - I, meanwhile, have come home and completely changed my clothes.
