Replace my current mobile phone

Like my laptop, my phone was showing signs of aging (well, so am I, but I'm not being replaced with a new model!) and some of the apps had stopped working, plus the banking apps were not going to be usable for much longer, so having sorted my new laptop it was time to do the same with my phone.

I went to look at some of the latest models, with the intention of sticking with Samsung, and having decided that that's what I was indeed going to do, and staying with the bottom of the range model - because I really don't need all the bells and whistles and would only get confused if I had them, I came home and ordered it, again through John Lewis.  The phone is pale green, but you can't actually see that as I've again gone with a bright red cover.

I had it up and running before my trip to London and so far I'm quite happy with it.

But no more electronic changes for the moment!

Congrats on the new tech. It always takes me a while to get used to a new mobile phone.

For years now I've had cheapest-they-make Samsungs and they've been good and reliable. I like that the menu layout stays nice adn consistent, model to model.

(I got so sick of buying cheap phones and trying to replace them 3-5 years later only to find I had to change brands and get familiar with a slightly different layout/system.)

Samsung fan here too - still on the A12 model because I'm not about to pay over £100 for a phone. It's got a decent enough camera, does what I want and is pretty robust about being dropped - repeatedly. I dropped my current model shortly after I got it in May 2021 and cracked the screen and it still works fine and I hope it'll hold out for a few more years before upgrades to apps mean I need to upgrade the phone. *G*

Good for you! It will take some getting used to but I bet it will be worth it.
