Only due to the above-mentioned rush and the lack of brainpower I'm going for five of each.

Five things you think are common in your fanfic.

1. Hurt/comfort, I may not be alone in this


2. Wide spread of fandoms, alternatively known as "butterfly brain"


3. Rare pairs


4. Plot, because I do love me a casefic


5. Food and/or drink

Five things you think are uncommon in your fanfic although commonly found in general

1. Porn, just use your imagination


2. Longer fics


3. Unequal central relationships, generally if one partner needs the other, were circumstances different the role could be reversed.


4. Fandom favourite pairings, Holmes/Watson I will write, Johnlock is not my thing


5. Most AUs, although I have written the penguin!Sherlock because a) I like penguins and b) I write crack

Five things you wish were more true of your fanfic

1. I could write a longer piece, more descriptive and not get bored part way through.  I'm going to try this for my lewis_challenge summer challenge, although I have some backup drabbles, just in case.


2. More kudos.  It doesn't generally bother me, but once in a while it would be nice to be recognised.


3. There are times when knowing where I'm going with a plot would be helpful.  I seem to be incapable of planning.  Last year I was half way through a casefic before I had discovered whodunit.


4. If I actually wrote down what was in my head I suspect my fics would be considerably better (although those of you who have experienced some of the crack in there may think otherwise


5. Arabella would probably have other things to add, although Phreia would disagree (The Muses)

And now, I need to get dressed.
