Bremen and Cologne
Sep. 29th, 2015 10:16 pmOur last day in Germany. We began the journey west, stopping in Bremen for lunch. SM spent an hour in a music shop, while I did a quick dash for souvenirs for family. I bought him a book of Brahms' Lieder we should keep him happy for weeks. Bremen was another city I would happily have spent much longer in.

And here's the gentleman on the horse displaying his moustache to full advantage. Plus a friend of his around the corner.

From there we headed for Cologne. The traffic going into Cologne was horrendous, which meant we only just made it before it grew dark. Hence SM and I didn't get to see the cathedral until gone 10 o'clock that evening. The cathedral is amazing, which is why I've included several photos of different angles. They were taken on my phone with limited lighting, but it would have been a shame not to include them.
