New Activities/Writing - Month Three

I don't think I've done anything new as such this month. The best I think I can manage is helping at a local festival (think village fair), where I was on the Gloucestershire Bundles stall, so the first time I've volunteered with them outside events they've organised themselves.
As for writing - Warning: the final paragraph mentions major character death.
As I mentioned last month I'm working on my Harlequin BigBang, and have made reasonable progress, on what is more of a traditional love story than I generally write. I'm also making progress on the Choose Your Own Adventure, which is definitely proving a challenge. Normally I want to tie up all the ends, whereas here the ends should diverge.
For the second year I've signed up for
fic_corner which means I'm writing in a new fandom, but it's an idea I'd tossed around before, so it's an interesting challenge. And
intoabar has given me Lucas North meeting King Duncan from Macbeth, whose main role in the play is to be killed.
But my real challenge this month is
watsons_woes July Writing Prompts. I killed Watson on the first day (I've done that before) and
mafief said she was afraid I'd creatively kill Watson every day in July. I took that as a challenge, and killed him again the second day. At which point various other members of the comm egged me on, so I thought I'd see how far I could go. It has led to the creation of a cartoon version featuring Deerstalker Holmes, Bowler-Hat Watson and Moriar T Coyote. And yes, I did make Watson a vampire (and then killed him). More Mis-Adventures of Dr J H Watson.

Date: 2019-08-17 12:41 pm (UTC)I’m mentally preparing myself to think of it as Darwin Awards or something like that before I go back and read the ones I missed.
Sooooo, since we had 30 days of death, does this mean Watson is saved for 30 years of July JWP? :D

Date: 2019-08-17 05:45 pm (UTC)I normally kill Watson once (or maybe twice) per JWP, so I wouldn't say he was entirely safe!
