New Activities/Writing - Month Four

I've already recorded my new activities for August in my London post.

Writing-wise, first of all an update on the new things I started last month.  For watsons_woes  In the end I killed Watson 29 times, held his funeral, and then finished with a Ferret-inspired aftermath: More Mis-Adventures of Dr J H Watson.  I have posted my fic_corner entry, but they've not been revealled yet.  I managed to have Lucas North meet King Duncan (deceased) for intoabar An Abysmal Judge of Character  and yesterday I posted my Harlequin fic for story_works Invitation to Erebor Hall.  My Choose Your Own Adventure fic is progressing.  I'm having to keep track of a timeline, which may or may not change depending on the strand I'm following.

New writing:  I've signed up for 15kisses for which I'm writing a 15 chapter fic, one kiss per chapter.  The card is here: 15 kisses.  Fifteen Kisses.  This month's challenge for whatif_au was Decade Specific, so I went for early 1920s (not the first time I've written this period, it's when Enter the Twenties is set) but it still felt like I was exploring something a bit different, rather than a standard ficlet: Hilary Term 1920.  drabblesoup ran a Bittiest Bingo challenge, with just four prompts per bingo, so I wrote a mini adventure for Antony Gillingham and Bill Beverly (Red House Mystery) Another Ridiculous Adventure.

Lastly, I've received my assignment for stageoffools and the AU I'm writing will have elements I'm used to, but combining them will be interesting.

Holy fuck, you are a busy ficcer! I like them all but I am especially taken with 15 kisses. I was skeptical that 15 would be a lot but they are so well done and unique.

Not as busy as you!

I think it helps that I'm telling a story, rather than writing 15 separate ficlets where it would be easy to write the same thing.

Wow, I am in awe at how productive you have been! Congrats! Also, poor Watson, (though I relished the guilty pleasure of reading them ).

fic_corner sounds like fun, I hope you received a nice fic :-)

Also, yay for Choose Your Own Adventure fic! I love those type of stories, so look forward to reading yours.

A lot of it is a case of writing something nearly every day, with the occasional bigger push on quiet days (like today when I had all day to myself).

I don't think I'd regularly write a CYOA fic, but this is an interesting challenge.

That is a really good approach re writing a little every day. I am trying that myself now my niece has returned :-)

I wish you well with the CYOA fic, as it must be quite tricky, but hopefully fun!

With the CYOA fic I find it quite hard not to try to tie everything up, but allow it to go in different directions, but so far so good.
