Writing - Month Eleven

Last month I wrote nearly 19,000 words - this month currently I'm at 8,000. Such is life. I'm ahead of my year to date target of 37,500 so I'm happy enough.

I'm continuing with inspiring_tables 50 prompts Eight Days in the Country and have written the first 24 chapters, so it's progressing slowly but surely. Posting is deliberately behind in case I need to tweak anything.

story_works  continues to inspire me.  For their Leap Day challenge I wrote The Proposal (Mrs Hudson) and I'm currently writing Lucas/Adam (Spooks) for the comfort challenge - no surprise there!

whatif_au has Law Enforcement as its monthly theme.  That's always going to be a bit difficult when the majority of my fandoms are involved in this in some way.  I decided to write some more of The Inspector Durin Mysteries with the current mystery: The Mysterious Wreath just finished.

Other than that, apart from regular fan_flashworks and drabbles, I've written a drabble for 100 Word Drabble - Drabble Flash Exchange, for which reveals are next week.  And I've signed up for Exchange of Interest (Person of Interest) again.

I am still writing something most days, just not very much, but equally there doesn't seem to be much I'm interested in writing and without that push I tend not to do a lot.

Yes, sometimes it gushes and sometimes it trickles. But it's good you're ahead of your numbers. I am enjoying Lucas and Adam's undercover story.

I may not have written much, but even so DW didn't need to cut off some of it!

Still impressive word counts! Also, 24 chapters? Wow! Wish you luck with the remaining chapters :-D

Each chapter is only about 400 words - so it's not that impressive.

By the way DW cut off half my entry, so I've now restored it!

That is weird re DW cutting off half your entry! Technology when it works brilliant, when it doesn't...keeps us on our toes at least!

Still, 400 words is a neat and nice entry. :]

I thought I'd get some writing done during this time but it seems to be the last thing on my list.

I think it can go either way - write to distract oneself or still not have the time.
