[personal profile] brumeier did this, so I thought it would be fun to share some of the pictures we have on our walls.  We have a lot, so I've selected those with particular meanings for me.

Firstly, Monet Impression, Sunrise.  I've always loved Monet's paintings and this print was given to me by my grandmother for my 18th birthday.

And Manet, A Bar at the Folies Bergere.  We once had a meal in a pub which had this print on the wall and I was fascinated by the reflection in it.  A few years later I bought my own copy.

The next is a numbered print SM bought himself before we were married, John Brunsdon Autumn.

This is a painting I bought SM from a local art exhibition when we were still living in a village in south Gloucestershire, of a local landmark, the Tyndale monument.

And an aerial photograph of the village we lived in which our son gave us.

An autographed photo of Andrew Scott (one of two SM has)

A poster of Julius Caesar with Sam Troughton as Brutus (the role I first saw him in)

And two posters of the Crucible, with Richard Armitage as John Proctor.  Guess which one is in our living room and which in the bedroom!

Heh, heh. That's a fic idea, too. Where a portrait of someone/something on the wall behaves because the other pictures on the wall keep it in line. Maybe you should do a Baker Street Museum ficlet where a portrait of Mrs. Hudson keeps putting out fires that the portrait of Holmes keeps lighting (or something).
