Goals after one-third of the year
Sep. 4th, 2021 11:31 amTime for another quick goal review.
Goal No 1: To achieve everything on my To Do list as it currently stands.
Basically this has been achieved. As noted last time there are crafts which I haven't got round to, but that's fine, other crafts have taken their place and I have made progress. To Do List No 1 and To Do List No 2 have been ticked off. There are a couple more areas which need sorting, and I should get round to them in the next couple of months.
So I think I shall update this to
Goal No 1 Sup: To set aside time each week to keep up to date
For me, it's so easy to push things to one side to deal with later, or, alternatively, feel like I must deal with XYZ first. So I'm going to try putting relevant papers in a folder, filing emails in an online folder and schedule a time when I will look at them. That will vary from week to week, depending on what else I'm doing. I tried it this week and it seemed to work, so I'm going to give it a couple of months as a trial.
This may seem rather tedious, but it's to do with mental wellbeing and therefore makes sense to me. It doesn't need to work for anyone else!
Goal No 2: To listen to everything currently on my To Be Listened To list (by the end of April 22)
So far, so good. Although it turns out I'm listening to a lot more these days - audiobooks and crafting go well together! Three new Richard Armitage narrations slightly upset my plans (two last month, one at the end of this month), but I'm still on track, although no longer ahead of myself. Admittedly, it wasn't improved either by a couple of 2 for 1 offers which had books which sang far too sweetly to me.
Goal No 3: To update and continue my blog posting
So far so good.
sunshine_challenge provided me with some interesting posting topics, as did
kat_lair 's Carpe Diem week. I'm not sure what this month will hold, apart from my standard topics. Maybe
thefridayfive will come up with some fun questions. Friends are always welcome to pose questions.
