I've been making good progress on my cross stitch this month (partly because we should be away part of next month and I would like to finish this sometime in the summer).

I finished the last of the botanical squares:

Here are the eight botanicals:

My next eight squares are simple one colour texture squares.
I also finished my scarf:

which goes with my hat

The knitted cat is also completed:

And I've begun work on her cardigan:

Date: 2022-02-25 07:41 pm (UTC)Someone gave me a little stitch kit which I really want to try, but apparently I'm supposed to know how to do either a split or a chain stitch so I put it away in the drawer. I know youtube is my friend, but I need to be in the right frame of mind to take it in. I want to have a go, but also have hideous memories of needlework at school and being called a muttonhead by my teacher :D

Date: 2022-02-25 07:50 pm (UTC)I was the only girl in my class who took so long making their cookery apron that they didn't get to do the next needlework project. I do much better now I don't have a critical teacher watching me. Split stitch looks easy enough (I've just googled it) and chain stitch is quite straightforward. I hope you enjoy your kit.
