The Friday Five: Summer

1. How's your summer going so far?
Okay - usual complaints about the weather: too hot, too cold, too dry, too wet. We bought an outdoor table and chairs set from Son, so I'm sitting outside more in the evenings because I can knit/stitch and listen to an audiobook/BBC Sounds in a comfortable chair and put things on the table.
2. Have you made any special summer plans?
Went to Bletchley Park last week (daughter's birthday). Going to London in August to see Matthew Bourne's Romeo & Juliet at Sadler's Wells. Also we're running a Holiday Club at church.
3. What are your traditional activities in summer?
Celebrating Daughter's birthday. Going to see something in London. When I was working we used to try to have a day out once a week during the summer (I only worked 4 days) but now I'm retired we tend to take short breaks throughout the year.
4. Are there special summer foods or drinks you're enjoying?
Not so far. I really like raspberries, so hopefully I'll have some of them. And ice cream. And home grown tomatoes when they're ready.
5. What is one thing you need to do this summer?
Get a holiday booked for October. Otherwise, there are lots of little things...
