Challenge No 12: Poetry (Part 1)

smallhobbitThis month's challenge, as some of you may be aware, is to write different forms of poetry. It turns out to be American Poetry Month as well, so perhaps an appropriate month for the challenge.
I shall be aiming to post one poem a day, although, since there are two sonnets requested, this may not be possible. The first, a Forever haiku for Classics Lover is now posted. I will not be posting to either LJ or DW on a daily basis, but will post a final summary at the end of the month. If you wish to follow on a day-by-day basis then you may like to subscribe to the work: April Poems
So far, with alternatives, I have 15 prompts, so there are still spaces if anyone else has a request.
