Three things which are indigo nope, let's go for rainbow instead:

1.  The classic rainbow in the sky

Sun through the rain.  I'm not an eternal optimist, but I am generally glass half full.  I also don't fit smoothly into a lot of groups I belong to, because the rainbow inside me isn't just one or two colours.  It may also explain why I will change memes/challenges when they don't quite fit what I want to do - on the basis it won't spoil things for other people.


2.  Currently the symbol for support of the NHS

I have very personal connections to the NHS.  My daughter-in-law is a nurse in our local hospital.  My daughter up to three months ago was a pediatric nurse in a hospital in Warwick.  She's now a student paramedic training with West Midlands Ambulance Service.


3.  Pride

I am white, and het.  I also believe that all people, no matter what race or sexual orientation, or anything else, should be equal.  And I am trying to live that way.

Glad you were still able to find a way to take part even if this part of Roy G BIV wasn't speaking to you. Also just want to say thank you for your support for BIPOC and LGBT+ folks. ♥ Hope your family are staying safe (though I understand the UK is not quite the COVD cesspool that the states are right now .. guess where I'm from haha).

So far we've been okay. My DIL was fortunate - many of the nurses on her ward did contract COVID near the beginning of the outbreak, but she's only part-time (they have a 3 year old) and managed to miss it. Yes, the States is far worse - we're still concerned about how the next few weeks will go, with the emphasis being on the economy rather than health.

::sigh:: Yup. Our "pro-life" party has proven themselves to be the hypocrits that we knew they were all along, becuase they are pushing to reopen everything even as death tolls rise.

And pushing further and harder on opening because the people who are their biggest opponents are the ones most likely to suffer bad consequences from catching the virus, so they're more than happy to mismanage it for their own political gain, much like they were more than happy to mismanage HIV to get rid of the people they thought were morally reprehensible.
