Reduce pile of greetings cards

A definite success - after my initial count of 28, plus a further 8 I discovered (carefully saved somewhere else!), the pile has been reduced to 12 cards.  Not all have been sent, as some will be 'thank you' cards for people who've helped at our church after-school club, but they are written, and therefore allocated.

Twelve cards is a reasonable number to keep, since there are occasions when we need one, so I'm happy with that.  And if anyone does want another card sent over the summer - and in particular I do have three from the small Gloucestershire village we used to live in - I will be happy to send them.

I have a pile of unused cards, I try to keep it under control...

I also have a collection of belated birthday cards because I am always running late :(

So easy to do - both collect unused cards and forget to send them in time for a birthday!

I probably ought to do something with my pile as well. My problem is having too many of the handmade iris folding cards (I have a few earmarked for particular occasions such as family birthdays and one for Angus's first day at school in September, but still have a lot. I think I just enjoy making them too much.)

If I'm making cards, then they have a destination in mind. These were just parts of packs that I'd accumulated over the years. I can fully understand having too many because you've enjoyed making them!

I got your card on Saturday; it welcomed me home after 8 hours teaching a cramming course! Such a delight, and it is still on the table where I have my morning coffee.

I've sent you a thank-you card by snail mail. Or by camel, or whatever.
