Meme Answers (Part 1)
Oct. 17th, 2020 08:50 pmAs promised, here are the first four answers to the Meme Questions. In addition,
moth2fic made me some stunning spooky images from the photos I took at Tintern, so they are interspersed with the answers:
Adam Carter and Stanley Hopkins move in together. How do they decorate their bedroom(s)?
innie_darling
This is clearly a temporary arrangement, with Stanley having found a new flat (he’ll never want to live permanently with Sherlock), and Adam and Lucas still looking for somewhere suitable. Decoration will be very plain: Stanley goes for functional and Adam won’t be there for long.

Watson and Mrs Hudson go to a pumpkin patch, an argument ensues. Over what? And what becomes of the pumpkin?
stonepicnicking_okapi
The argument begins because Watson is cross that Holmes has left him with the chore. Mrs Hudson is cross because she has better things to do than find a suitable pumpkin for Holmes’ current case. The argument arises because they cannot agree as to what exactly Holmes wanted since his instructions where too vague. Finally, they buy one, but by the time they reach Baker Street, Holmes says it’s no longer necessary. Watson forces Holmes to sit down, while Mrs Hudson pushed the pumpkin down on his head.

Mrs Hudson invites the inhabitants of Nonnatus House to go dancing. What kind of dancing, and do they accept? If they go, does everyone have fun, or is it an utter disaster?
castiron
Mrs Hudson invites them to go country dancing. There’s a slight reticence on behalf of some of the nuns, but Sister Monica Joan is very enthusiastic, and in the end they all agree. They have a marvellous time and agree to go again.

Sherlock and Mycroft get set up on a blind date. Is it a great match or an utter disaster?
corvidology
Sherlock is in the middle of a case, and using a false name, which is why he goes on the date. He suspects the man who sets him up as being involved in some dubious affairs. Meanwhile the partner of this man invites Mycroft along because they believe they can involve him in their plans. Mycroft, who is very suspicious of what’s happening, also agrees to go. Neither brother gives any indication they know each other when they are introduced, but manage to share information between themselves without anyone else being any the wiser. As far as Sherlock and Mycroft are concerned this is all a great success, better than they would have hoped for; it’s is an utter disaster for the two who arranged for them to meet.
