Best wishes to you all for 2021!

A new year, a new start, the same me.  Not much more to be said, except that I will try to remain positive, not in ignoring the rubbish around (of which there is plenty) but in a determination to get over, under, round or through it all.  Wear wellies, borrow Tigger Holmes sou'wester, put on thick gloves and let's tackle this together.


My Yuletide contribution this year was for Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Christmas Eve Mystery

And to you. I think Agatha Christie is in a lot of people's history, and I'm delighted you enjoyed mine. There's a variety of Winnie the Pooh around, some of the book level (sweet and innocent), and I sometimes write a slightly more grown up version.

Happy New Year to you too. We can only hope that 2021 brings better things for all of us. At least I was able to have part of the family, daughter and grandsons, with us for Christmas, that was a real bonus after nearly 16 months of disappointments.

I think I've already wished you a Happy New Year all over the place. I shall read your Yuletide fic and the ones gifted to you but not today. I am having a rest after 31 days of music posts and all that Christmas decoration stuff. I'm currently just reading the Christmas Special New Statesman and New Scientist, and listening to music. Monday is, hopefully, going to be the day life returns to new normal.

There's never any rush to read my fic/gifts - there'll still be there next week and the week after.

I shall be sad when the Christmas break is over (I have no wish to go back to work) but on the other hand will appreciate a bit more routine, and will be back volunteering.

Last year, I had the idea to write about Christmas in the Hundred Acre Wood, and discovered that I'd written so much about Christopher Robin's letter that I'd come to the end of the story. So this year I was simply going to write the rest of it. I picked you as recipient because your prompt (about what present to give Eeyore) gave me the focus it needed. Honestly? I didn't realize you were the person I'd already written for until I re-read the first story when preparing to write this one.

Clearly we think on the same page!
