Stuff I Love Post 6

I'm going to go almost slushy here - but not properly, because I'm not and if I did you'd wonder whether I was me, or if I'd been taken over by aliens.  Hmm, that would only apply if I wasn't an alien, maybe taken over by other aliens.

So, what I love is the interaction with all my friends here.  Some of whom I've met in real life, some of whom I shall only ever have communication with via some form of the internet.

I love being able to share fandoms, and actors, and writing, and books, and crafts, and other interests.  And even if they're not my interests but you're enthusiastic about it then I love that too.  (corvidology wrote something similar in their 'Squee' post)

I love the way we can support each other and communicate with each other all across the world.



So yes, Stuff I Love = you lot!

Speaking of favorite actors, did you get to see Richard Armitage in Space Sweepers? I tuned in pretty much just to hear his lovely voice, not gonna lie.

I haven't watched it yet (need to borrow the daughter's Netflix - she has said we can!). The plot itself doesn't appeal, and I've seen lots of pics, so wasn't sure whether to bother. I still have him reading audiobooks while I do chores though ;)

I didn't know what to expect going in, other than I knew he was the villain so...I didn't expect most of it to be in Korean, no lies. So...if you're not into subtitles, there's that to think about. I enjoyed the movie up until the very ending. And then I was a bit disappointed, but overall the film was the sort of genre I enjoy, so I had a good time (and also it was a film my husband would watch with me, so we watched it for my birthday date).

Richard's performance was really good, given some of the complications, i.e. interacting with actors speaking another language (everyone has universal translator earpieces), and I had a good time.

Hmm. I'd be watching it on my own (not my husband's genre) plus I'm not a fan of subtitles, because that means I can't glance down at my knitting. I'll probably get round to it at some point, but it won't be high on my list. Thank you for that!

I also love the interaction here. It's probably one of the things that has kept us all sane during prolonged lockdown. With so many online friends ready to chat you can't really feel lonely!

Yes - and because these are friends who only ever communicated in this way, it doesn't feel as different as most things do.

This is such a delightful post! :-D I'm glad that you've been able to share so much through your interaction with friends via the internet. During these difficult times, the internet really has become a kind of lifeline for people, even if it's just provided some much-needed escapism. Even before the pandemic, I think a lot of us took great joy in being able to share common fandoms, interests, etc. In any case, I've really enjoyed reading about your own interests, goals and passions.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to share and be a part of someone else's life in some small ways, especially with those who share mutual interests. Having a forum to talk about what you like to see, read or do is great.
