Painswick Rococo Gardens

We aren't far from Painswick, so we decided to enjoy our exercise there yesterday afternoon and see all their daffodils:

  

There weren't just daffodils, but shrinking violets and white bluebells:

There were sheep with lots of lambs in a nearby field:



It was a very pleasant afternoon out.

Very beautiful flowers and land. How was the weather? It's been quite chilly here.

Thank you. I wore coat, hat, scarf and gloves! It was fine while walking around, but there wasn't much temptation to stop, and my hands got cold when taking the pictures with my gloves off. But it had been drizzling in the morning, so at least that had stopped.

Brrr! Good to know that you could fine walking about and hopefully had a hot tea once home :) Perhaps we shall have a little warm-dry spring weather in time for Easter???

What lovely photos to see on the first day of spring! :-) The daffodils are really beautiful. The same goes for the shrinking violets and white bluebells. I love both the stained glass windows and the views they provide. It's really nice to see all those sheep and lambs in the field. I can see why it was such a pleasant afternoon out.

Thanks to Covid, it's been over a year since I've been to Painswick and I miss it.

We don't visit very often - it's probably three years since we last came, but it's still reasonably local so possible for exercise. And such a pretty place to visit for a change.

It was lovely. I was glad I had my coat etc. It's on the side of a hill, so rather exposed.
