First Cygnets of 2021

We went for a walk along the canal this afternoon, and saw the swan on her nest.  We watched for a while and then one by one the cygnets came onto the canal, and finally their mother joined them and they paddled along.

 

It's not easy to see - the family were on the far side of the canal, the lighting was wrong and I had to zoom using my phone, but there are eight cygnets.
