At Dare to Dabble yesterday we were making flowers using Fantasy Film dip.

This is the starting equipment:

To begin with we fashioned petals.  The first time using ovals (to give an idea of how it worked), and then we could choose what we wanted to make.

The shape was then dunked in the paint to form a film, similar to beginning a soap bubble.

And these were left to dry

After which they were attached to a stem, which was made of wire with a bead at one end

To make a flower - here with oval petals

This one used the matt style dip

And my favourite with again the stained glass style dip

To provide a bunch of flowers

They look wonderful!

That's something I'd love to try! I've got a dragonfly somewhere made using that technique, but I have no idea where to get the film liquid.

I imagine they would, otherwise the liquid would set.

I looked it up on Amazon and it came up with Epoxy resin which is something I'd been looking at for a completely different type of project - if it is that, that's a massive incentive to try and get more things sorted out so I have space to try that and store the supplies! Very very tempted!

Oh, wow! I love this craft! It's so simple but the end product is so beautiful! The stained glass bunch of flowers is gorgeous! It must be fantastic when they catch the light.
