Last week we went on a coach tour of part of Scotland, so over the next few days I shall be posting a few of the photos which I took.

On the way up we had a break at Gretna Green:

Before continuing on to our hotel, which was by Loch Lomond:

The following day we took a train to Fort William.  The scenery was beautiful but I took few photos.

This is the Church of Scotland church, and (I know, act surprised) some stained glass.

Our coach journey back took us through Glencoe:

Aaaaahhhhh one of my favorite places in the world. We did our honeymoon on a similar itinerary. Lovely photos!

I love Scotland so much that as a teenager was absolutely convinced I would end up living there. I often wonder if I would have if I'd taken the place at the University of Edinburgh.

I still go there every chance I get and have taken MG there four times I think and also on coach trips. :D

Oooooh! So jealous! I'd love to return to Scotland! With the exception of Fort William, I visited all the same places you did during this part of your coach tour. While all of your pictures are beautiful, I absolutely love the photos from Loch Lomond and Glencoe because they're so atmospheric. I think those last two shots are my favourites.

Gorgeous!

I've been to Loch Lomond (SOOO pretty) but never to Glencoe - great pics!

Such a wonderful place.

Glencoe is one of those super atmospheric places. It's beautiful, but when you stand there, there's an eerie feeling of terrible things having happened there. For all its natural beauty, I didn't find it a happy place. But a great experience, yes!

And Gretna Green is just so much fun these days.

I assume that on the left picture of the Loch, the small black unidentified object is, in fact, a sighting?
