Crafts - June 2025

I've been spending quite a lot of time on crafting this month.

Ifinished my jumper:



After which I knitted some bottle top covers for Innocent Drinks the Big Knit



And then began to knit a scarf using the leftover yarn from the jumper



The regular StitchALongs have recommended in my magazine, so here's the Floral one for July





As well as the Mouse



Plus Daughter's birthday card



And I began work on three of the cross stitch projects which were in my TBS (To Be Stitched) pile







In addition I've been working on a felt project for this week's Wildlife Challenge, but more of that later!

Yes - I realised when I looked at my photos how much I'd done! Just August left to do and then it's finished :)

I enjoyed knitting the bottle toppers - so quick and easy - and for a good cause!

What is "Innocent Drinks the Big Knit"?

Innocent Drinks put little hats on Smoothie bottles of drink, which are then sold for a small additional cost, with the proceeds going to Age UK. Further details are here

Wow! That's a lot of stitching! You have been busy. Congrats on finishing the jumper! I like the stitchalong flower wheel and the last one looks intriguing too!

That's what I thought when I collected my photos! And thank you. I've been delighted with the flower wheel. The last one has the four corners like the first one - some of the gaps will have beads sewn in, and there's a large black cat in the middle.

That is a lot of work! First of all, I love this month's floral. Such an outburst of summer! Yes, July is yellow, somehow. Totally fitting. Again a delight to see the work in progress.

Also, I love how the jumper turned out, and the scarf looks great, too.

And the Reading Mouse is, I think, my favourite mouse so far.

Will we get to see how the little garden, the fire engine and the intriguing bit in brown(a geometric design? Part of a carpet and thus an interior? Part of a quilt?) turn out?

Thank you so much! I do like yellow roses.

The scarf pattern is an interesting mix, and since I had left over yarn I thought it would be an easy fun knit for the summer, before deciding on an autumn/winter project.

The mice have been great fun.

And yes, you will be seeing the progress on the other projects. They will be a bit slower, as the two SALs have priority. The orange one has decorative corners before the main picture goes in the middle.

The bottle top covers are adorable! It's hard to pick a favourite. I'm torn between the bunny and the straweberry.
