Oct. 22nd, 2022 04:25 pmThis month's Dare to Dabble was for material crafts and I opted to make Suffolk Puffs.
Which begin with a selection of pieces of material:

Which are cut into circles of varying sizes by drawing round objects:

A running stitch is sewn all the way round the circle, pulling up the material as the stitches are made and a button is sewn on to hide the join:

This is repeated with the other circles of material:

And then the individual puffs are sewn together to make a Christmas tree:

Date: 2022-10-22 04:10 pm (UTC)I had not encountered the term "Suffolk Puff" before. Why is it named for Suffolk?
Also, it sounds to me like it should be the name of a pastry. 😁
