Writing - March 2023

Despite being away for a week, I've managed just over 10K words, bringing my total for the first three months to 37.5K which allows for some less productive months later in the year.

This month allbingo had a 'March is...' challenge, and I chose 'March is spring' and wrote In Like A Lion a retirement era Sherlock Holmes story.

I've also taken part in no_true_pair mini challenge with four characters.  When Villains Meet put together four villains: the Stranger from Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, Luca from Bourne's Car Man, Caradoc from Bourne's Sleeping Beauty and Jim Moriarty from BBC Sherlock.  I chose to write each chapter as a drabble or double drabble and, although it won't be clear, in my mind they chapters are sequential.  It was an interesting challenge for me, writing rather darker characters than I usually choose.

Ocean Café has been my major work and I've added about 4K words.  This needs to be completed by the beginning of May and I'm hopeful I will manage it.

I've been pleased with my writing so far this year, although there's time for it to run slower.
