Crafts - April 2023

Crafting is progressing, but given my main project it doesn't look that much.  But then, the Klimt cross stitch is large.  I am now about half way across the first section, so I've done about one-sixteenth.



I'm also working on an anniversary card for son and daughter-in-law, but as yet it's not clear what it is!



I'm knitting a teddy for a baptism family - it looks odd because it's knitted in one piece, flipping over the head.



And this week I've started a chunky knit cowl for The Daughter:

No, sadly not! It's a short scarf with the ends sewn together to make a hoop.

Progress on the Klimt might be slow but it's steady.

I'll be interested to see how the teddy turns out. I tried knitting one once and it wasn't a success. Then again, I wasn't working from a pattern.

The cowl looks like it'll be gorgeous.

Yes, I do something to the Klimt most days, so it is slowly growing. I'll post a picture of the teddy once it's completed - I hope it looks okay! The Daughter chose the wool, I chose the pattern, I'm just adding stripes as and when I feel like it.

Yes, I'm hoping it will look okay when it's sewn up. I like to have variety, I definitely get more done that way.

Oh, the next installment of the Klimt. Such fun to see it progress slowly!

Thank you. I calculate it will take a couple of years, if not longer as I'll take a break for Christmas stitching. It's very slow at the moment as I'm at a patch of mixed black and dark brown.

Apologies. I'm playing catch up again. You certainly had a busy month in April! I'm looking forward to learning what is on the card that you're creating for your son and daughter-in-law. I'm also curious to see how the teddy will turn out. Both the Klimt cross stitch and knit cowl are looking great!

I finished the card for my son and daughter-in-law today - just in time, so I'll be posting later this month. And with any luck the teddy will be done too :) The Klimt progresses, although there's been a lot of black and dark brown stitches which has been hard going. And I'm half way through the cowl.
