Leaf Printing and Sun Changing Paper
May. 24th, 2023 02:38 pmFrom the title you might guess this is another Dare to Dabble. Because these activities are held at Nature in Art, everything has a connection to nature.
There was the option to do hammered flowers, but I did that last year and didn't fancy doing it again. (Hammered Flowers)
So instead I went for leaf printing, using acrylic paints
I was pleased with the result
After which we went outside to experiment with some photo sensitive paper
We began with marking out our initials in small stones

And then we reversed the piece of paper so that the blue side was uppermost. Quickly we reassembled the initial on the paper.

Because as soon as sunlight hits it it begins to change.

Once the paper had turned white we quickly removed the stones and put the paper into water to fix it.

After a couple of minutes we took it out of the water and left it to dry.

All great fun
I had a couple more attempts, which were again fun if not entirely successful:
