Writing - May 2023
May. 31st, 2023 03:26 pmThis month my word count has been well down, only 7,748 words, bringing my total for the year to 57,127. So definitely as well I resisted last month's impulse to aim for 150K for the year. However, it's looking good for my original goal of 110K and might even get me to 135K which would be a respectable amount.
I took part in the spring round of
seasonsofdrabbles and wrote four triple drabbles: Two for Fawlty Towers: The Laundry Man and Crocked, and one each for Call the Midwife The Reggie Garden and Poirot Death of an Unremarkable Clerk. In return I received two Ghosts drabbles: Of Friendship and Films by ANGSWIN who includes a play on my username (we regularly swap drabbles in this comm) and Button House Film Club by lasicairn.
For
intoabar I wrote Careless Talk: It's 1938 and Lucas North walks into a bar and meets George Harvey Bone (Midnight Bell) And there was no trouble deciding on the bar!
For
allbingo Pet's challenge I wrote Wordsworth in Spring a retirement era Holmes and Watson story featuring their cat Wordsworth.
And finally May is
ushobwri New Frontiers month, and thanks to
