My major triumph is the completion of Klimt's The Kiss



I've also started my StitchALong - with September



And begun some Christmas cards (not shown) plus a frill for the Christmas cake:

The front of my sleeveless top is progressing well:



And I've knitted a wrist warmer and am partway through the second:

The StitchALong looks as if it will have some really suitable motifs each month (although I've only see the first two!)

It's from my new Christmas crafts book, but the pattern is suitable for any time - and they will definitely come in useful.

I haven't got too much left to do of the front, but then there will be the neck and sleeve ribbings to do.

Neckbands and such are necessary, of course, to give a good finish, but they're not the most fun parts of a project.

The Kiss, finished! I've enjoyed seeing the progress and it looks so wonderful :D
Oddly I saw a bit of a Rick Stein travel show where he visited a museum and saw The Kiss, which is the first time I think I'd seen the real painting, though heard of it before.
I've not done any patterned knitting so I am making ooh sounds at how lovely the patterns are on the wrist warmers :D

Thank you very much! I've seen The Kiss for myself, as well as a number of other Klimt paintings - some of which I think I preferred! You can see my not very good photos here Vienna

I'd recommend patterned knitting as it can be fun - and if you start off with something where it doesn't matter too much if you make an odd mistake it's well worth trying.
