View from the Window - July

Here are this month's views - the grass is almost totally parched now:

      

This one is a slight cheat, as it's taken from the door of St Margaret's Church, Whaddon, but the windows are quite high up and also stained glass.

It does look dry. But the graveyard is kind of spooky even so. Excellent advert!!👍

We've had the occasional localised heavy shower, but everything is very dry. Those are the oldest gravestones in the churchyard. The advert was made by a local company who chose to make us their charity of the year and produced it for free, so we were delighted.

...but the windows are quite high up and also stained glass. I'm sorry to laugh but I did have the mental image of you shimmying up a stepladder and trying to take a picture through the stained glass before giving up and using the door ^___^ On a more serious note, the grass in your neck of the woods really does look like it's suffering. In my part of the NW, it's been very hot with just a little rain but the vegetation still looks ok.

We were delighted with the result.

I could have tried balancing on one leg on the back of a pew...

So far it's only the grass which has suffered - there's plenty of vegetation around which seems to be okay still.

Aaarrrgghhh! I've fallen behind once again, though I always enjoy catching up. :-)

You've taken some great photos as usual. My favourite is the one from the door of St Margaret's Church. Toronto also has parched grass. I'm hoping that everyone who needs rain will get it soon.

The Gloucestershire Bundles video is fabulous! It's nice to see the footage captured by the drone, not to mention getting a peek at the organization itself. :-)
