Suggestions Needed

smallhobbitI was struggling to decide what to blog about, when it hit me like a red balloon (or something). I need some advice/suggestions. So flist do your worst - or preferrably your best. This Is Important.
It's my daughter's graduation ceremony next week (ten days time) and I have nothing to wear. Anything considered, except possibly borrowing her giraffe onesie. I have little time for shopping (that nearly mistyped itself as shipping, I wonder why?) since I'm going to London next weekend. That's a fandom thing (ish), far more important than buying new clothes.
I think the only winter skirt I possess is the black one I wore to my father's funeral a few year's ago. And a woollen dress, which I got in a sale and wore to a new year social at a friend's house - not suitable.
Needless to say, whatever I buy has to be suitable for other occasions, not that there will be any, but it's the principle of the thing.
